Brian A. Stanphill, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away surrounded by his family on September 8, 2023, at Swedish American Hospital. Brian was born to Charles and Gloria (Stokes) Stanphill on January 18, 1975. Brian stayed in the community he was born, graduating from Harlem High School in 1993.
Brian was passionate about sports- particularly football and golf. Brian played football in high school as a fullback. His love for football also was shown as a fan of the Chicago Bears. Brian also looked forward to fantasy football each year. Aside from football, Brian also enjoyed playing Ever Quest online and making friends. He was a quiet and soft spoken, but also spoke well in the right time and place.
Brian is survived by his mother, Gloria; brother, Paul Stanphill; aunt Patricia Diane (Jim) Batchelor; puppy, Bosco; many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles; maternal and paternal grandparents.
A visitation for Brian will take place on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home at 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Brian will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Gardens following services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made directly to the family.
