Charles Ladenberger III

Charles Ladenberger III, age 77, of Rockford, Illinois passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025. He was born June 26, 1948 to Charles Ladenberger Jr and Lucille Marie (Wilson) Ladenberger in Rockofrd, Illinois. Charles was drafted into the Army as a young man, he was very proud of his service to our country. He worked for many years as a construction worker and a proud member of Laborers Local 32.

Charles was a member of many clubs in Rockford, including the American Legion, 3LLL Club, Lyran Society, and Baltic Club. He enjoyed volunteering his time there, helping to bartend, cook, and serve food. Charles also enjoyed his Thursday lunch group at CJs Public House and he was very close with all of his friends. He liked to sit outside and enjoy the beauty of nature in his yard and while hiking. He enjoyed going to concerts and listening to classic rock. Most of all, Charles loved making his family and friends happy, his big heart showed whenever he was with his loved ones.

Charles is survived by his son, Charlie Ladenberger IV; grandchildren, Gabrielle Ladenberger, Izabelle Ladenberger, and Charles Ladenberger V; two sisters; special friend, Paula Phipps; along with numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lucille Ladenberger; and his special puppy, Moose.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
