Cleta D. Bellone, of Rockford, IL, passed away on September 11, 2020 surrounded by her daughters. Cleta was born in Fayette County in Illinois on October 26, 1923 to Albert and Leora Oldham. She attended Vandalia High school and graduated in 1941. On January 29, 1948 Cleta married the love of her life, Frank J. Bellone, of Rockford. During World War II Cleta worked in the stenograph department at Elgin National Watch Company, later finding her career in banking as a teller and a loan officer. Cleta was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She had a deep love for all the animals she had in her life time, most recently her cat Big Joe.
Cleta is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Dennis) Kyrouac and Melodie (Scott) Boyd; grandchildren, Bryan (Naomi) Kyrouac, Jason Kyrouac, Rebecca (Michael) VanPoucke, Christopher (Jenni) Kyrouac, and James Boyd; great grandchildren, Adam Kyrouac, Abigail Kyrouac, Matthew Kyrouac, Joshua VanPoucke, Elijah VanPoucke, and Zoey Kyrouac; brother, Gary (the late Alice) Oldham.
Preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Bellone; infant son, Frank J. Bellone Jr.; siblings, Alma Oldham, Johnny Oldham, Monroe (Opal) Oldham, and infant brother Larry Oldham.
A Funeral Service for Cleta will be held Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 2pm at Sunset Funeral Home (8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115). Interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
