Clifford M. Olson, 87, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Riverbluff Nursing Home in Rockford. Clifford was born in Soldiers Grove, WI, to Odin and Clara Olson on October 10, 1936. Clifford enjoyed fishing, restoring old cars, snowmobiling, and playing card games. He loved his family very much, and was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his children, Randy Olson and Robin Olson; grandchildren, Stacy (Tracy) Young, Scott (Sarah) Olson, Jessica (David) Krabbe, and Hali Nichols; great-grandchildren, Autumn Anderson, Zackery Anderson, Devan Olson, Samuel Olson, Myah Krabbe, and Eliana Krabbe.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Olson; parents, Odin and Clara; son, Roy Olson; daughter-in-law, Kathy Olson.
A visitation for Clifford will take place Friday, January 5, 2024, at 10:00 AM, with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 AM. His inurnment will take place following services at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
