Destiney Renee Stokes

Destiney Renee Stokes, 55, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully Monday evening, October 5, 2020 in the presence of her loving mother. She was born October 20, 1964 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Dewey and Billie (Carsten) Dale. Destiney attended Jefferson High School. She never met a stranger and was an extremely social person. Destiney loved fishing, and would throw a line into any water she could. She adored animals, especially her Chihuahua, Baby Girl. Destiney enjoyed playing darts. She enriched all the lives she came in contact with.

Destiney is loved and missed by her mother, Billie Creed; brothers, Chadd Stokes and Charles (Connie) Creed; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as numerous family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Dewey and sister, Roxie Dahlen.

A memorial service for Destiney will be held at a later date.
