Edna left her loved ones on her 90th birthday, September 26, 2025, with her family at her side. She joined her daughter Sue Ann in heaven, finally being able to hold her and show her unconditional love, as she did her children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren here on earth. Edna's whole heart was always used to love, hug, and help raise not only her children, but grandchildren as well. One of her favorite activities with them was to take them to the LLL club in Rockford for turkey bingo. She knew as she got older that she could no longer watch her great-grand babies, but she did everything in her power to be a part of their lives. She was always there for them, whether it was going to a sporting event to cheer them on or driving to Wisconsin to give them a hug and tell them how much she loved them. Aside from spending time with her beloved family, Edna enjoyed her garden, playing bingo, and watching her “stories”. Edna bought a seasonal camper at The Duck Inn on Lake Puckaway and enjoyed going every weekend from April to October. While at the lake, she enjoyed mainly playing pull tabs, going to Ho Chunk Casino, fishing, and bragging to her neighbors about her family. On Edna's 85th birthday, her family planned a surprise birthday party at the lake. The love, joy, and happiness she felt on that day will always be in our hearts as her lake friends would tell her, "Wow, your family sure loves you".
Edna is survived by her children, Leland (Brenda Roschi) Johnson, Edith (Tony) Dennis, Paul (Lydia Savic) Johnson, Debbie (Gene) Conus, and Gaile (Steve) Birch; grandchildren, Megan Meckler, Diane Dennis, Adam Johnson, Katie Johnson, Amanda Hartman, Stephanie (Dave) Nethery, Anna Rinaldo, Nicholas (Ashley Stanton) Birch, Kirsten (Dominic) James, and Mallory (Tyler) Robers; great-grandchildren, Juliana Johnson, Joey Rinaldo, Noah Hartman, Lucy Nethery, Mary Nethery, Gwen Nethery, Brynlee James, Levi James, Hallie Jane Robers, and Hannah Robers; and special nieces, Betsy and Cookie.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sue Ann Johnson; parents, Clarence and Laura (Outcalt) Snider; sisters, Laura Leese and Dorothy Enna; and brothers, Edward “Buster” Snider, Raymond Snider, Frank Snider, William “Bill” Snider, Willard Snider, and Kenneth Snider.
