Floretta L. Westcott

Floretta K. (Latiolais) Westcott, 71 of Machesney Park, via Eunice, LA, passed away, Friday May 31st at Rockford Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 7, 1942 in Eunice, LA, the daughter of Howard and Joyce (Fuselier) Latiolais.

She worked her entire career at AT&T, where she retired in 1992.

Flo loved to talk about all of her nephews and nieces. She would get so excited when she was able to speak with them. She was very proud of her Cajun Heritage and Culture.

She was so very proud of her three wonderful grandchildren, Zackary, Nicholas, and Taylor. She would light up every time she saw them.

Survivors include her sons, Kenny (Debbie) Westcott and Paul (Sheri) Westcott; brothers, Rickie (Laurie) Latiolais, and Mark (Joan) Latiolais; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, and a brother.

We would like to say a very special “Thank You” to all of her friends, especially, Delores Garman, and Dorothy Brommerich. They cared for our mother like they were her sisters. They are two amazing women.

Memorial service, 2 p.m., Thursday, June 6, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, with Pastor Wendell Maynard officiating. Visitation, 1 p.m. to time of service. Cremation rights have been accorded. Online condolences may be submitted at sunsetfhmemgardens.com
