Frances Virginia Baxter

Frances was born on July 26, 1925 in Rockford, the daughter of Arthur and Helen Ostberg Lindgren. She married Marcus Whitney Baxter on December 7, 1943, and he preceded her in death on March 8, 2001.

Frances is survived by her children: Penny (Raymond) Ford of Rockford, David (Connie) Baxter of Roscoe and Dan (Linda) Baxter of Mendota; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister Bonita (Harold) Porter; sister-in-law Christine Ebert and Jeanne Lindgren.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Douglas on October 2, 2004, 3 great-grandchildren; brother Jack Lindgren and brothers-in-laws Jack Baxter and Henry Ebert.

A service to celebrate Frances’s life will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday September 3, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park with Pastor Casey Fut and Pastor Megan Smick of New Milford Methodist Church officiating. Visitation for Frances will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
