Greg was born on December 10, 1951 and lost his battle with cancer on May 30, 2022.
He proudly joined the Armed Forces in 1970 and served a 3 year term where he received a National Defense Service Medal and a Sharpshooter M16 Badge.
Immediately after that, he was employed with Chicago Northwestern (Union Pacific), for almost 40 years, where he performed numerous roles, but the "concrete gang" was the one he enjoyed the most.
He loved all animals, but had a real passion for wolves. He was involved in many organizations and educated others on how to properly raise them. He even hosted a talk show on the radio!
Even after retirement, he continued to work to stay active, but truly enjoyed spending his days with his Cassie Doggie. Cassie was laid to rest on Nov 9, 2021, and Greg always said there was a hole in his world after that day.
Greg is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Debbie, 2 loving sons, Jeremy (Kelly), Chad, 3 beautiful step-daughters, Lisa (Jimmie), Melissa (Kevin), Tami (Dan), 2 brothers and 1 sister who will miss him dearly, Mark (Linda), Christian (Dagmar) and Gayle.
He is predeceased by his parents, Leroy Dennis Largent and Step-Mom Christa Marianne Largent, and his mother Deloris Evonne Ozier.
He had several precious Grand-kids and Great Grand-kids, Matthew, Andrew, Molly, Alissa, Austin, Ashton, Tevyn, Sadie (Aero), Brittany (Kalani and Sophia), Samantha (Jaxson), Abbie (Adrian and Camilla) and Zach (Scarlett) and Tessa.
A celebration of Life Memorial will be held at a later date, and will be a private event, per Greg's request for no service.
Greg made the selfless decision in life to become an organ donor. Making vision a reality for an individual through the healing power of donation, and transplantation. The light in his eyes will continue to shine for another. Consider becoming an organ donor visit www.giftofhope.org
