Gretchen Ann Dawson

Gretchen Ann Dawson, 83, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, September 21, 2019. Born August 15, 1936 in Brazil, IN. Daughter of David and Beverly (Raye) Daune. United in marriage to John Dawson on March 2, 1957 in St Andrew Church in Chicago. Gretchen found excitement in going to flea markets, garage sales and attending state fairs. She loved doing jigsaw puzzles and reading mystery novels. She was always ready for an adventure. By far anytime spent with her family was her favorite.

Survived by her loving husband of 62 years, John; daughters, Kathi (Tim) Glenn, Mari (Jonny) Netz, Jacki (John) Hankes, Christina (David) Soll; grandchildren, Melissa (Raju) Netz-Majumdar, Jonny (Beth Reagan) Netz Jr, Jeffrey (Michelle) Netz, Ryan (fiancée Stacy Hamling) Glenn, Ashley (fiancé Ian Anderson) Soll, Josh (Justine) Glenn, Emily (fiancé Patrick Carter) James, David (Elizabeth) James, Sarah Soll, Amanda Soll, Max James and Sam James; great-granddaughter, Ava James; several nieces and nephews; special dog, Tootsie. Predeceased by her parents; siblings, Bob Choromokos, Mike Choromokos, Linda Vuksonvich.
