Herbert Warren Hauser, age 87, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away on October 25, 2025. He was born March 12, 1938 to Anton and Viola (Kort) Hauser in Wausau, Wisconsin. Warren married the love of his life, Judith Long, on January 26, 1957, in Rockford, Illinois and they spent 54 wonderful years together before she passed in 2011. He worked for many years in the floor covering profession, even owning and operating his own business for years.
Warren enjoyed fishing, his favorite spots were in northern Wisconsin and Minnesota. He liked watching the Cubs and Bears games. When he and Judy were younger they enjoyed traveling together. He liked coaching baseball when his children were in school and loved bonding with them as their coach.
Warren is survived by his son, Chuck (Lori) Hauser; grandchildren, Samantha (Nik) Pearson and Kaitlyn (Joseph) Cuarenta; great-grandchildren, Joel Cuarenta and River Pearson; sister, Kathy Eldridge; special nephew, Jimmy Hauser; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Judy Hauser; children, Scott Hauser and Jaymie Johnson; parents, Anton and Viola Hauser; and siblings, Tony, Charlotte, Bill, and Joe Hauser.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Rockford Rescue Mission.
A visitation for Warren will be held on Thursday, October 30 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL, 61115 with a service to follow at 11:00 am. Entombment to follow.
