Janice E. Furman, 81, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026 surrounded by her loving family at Swedish American Hospital. She was born February 19,1945 in Rockford, the daughter of Willis and Lillian (Wolfe) Radcliff. Janice married Howard Furman on July 6, 1963. She retired from Amerock. Janice enjoyed crocheting beautiful afghans for loved ones. She was well known for her beef and noodles, apple squares and pumpkin squares.
Janice is survived by her children, Jeffery (Karen) and Timothy Furman; grandchildren, TJ (Christy), Tawny, Sydnie and Adison; great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Isaac, Daniel and Eloisa; siblings, Ada, Carol (Loren) and Bill; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Howard, brother-in-law, Al and sister-in-law, Marilu.
A visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m., Friday, April 3, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115. Funeral service to begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
