Born April 29, 1937 to Raymond and Alta Dittmar on a farm in rural Scales Mound, Illinois. She enjoyed a close relationship with her sister, Ilene and brother (surviving), Melvin. She married Burt Wilhelmi in June of 1953. Residing in Cuba City, Wisconsin, they chose to move to Rockford, Illinois in 1963, so Dad could become a licensed plumber. In their nearly 50 years together, they raised three children and worked hard together, until his death in 2001.
Mom loved her family deeply and her three children were always her main priority. She was a hard worker and kept her family together. Her joy was being with her family. All holidays were spent with Mom at her home.
For many years, Mom worked 3rd shift at Amerock. She formed many close friendships there. We were close to all the families in the court. She treasured trips with Marilyn and Paul. In later years, she had a great companion in Bob. They traveled, had dinner and found great enjoyment in one another. Being together with family was most important to her - in any way.
For the past 15 months, her three children lived with her and took care of her every need so they kept the promise to allow her to live and die in her own home, surrounding her with love and with her faithful doggy Baxter, by her side. She took great pride in an entire family of decent, loving, successful human beings.
Jeanette's memory will be remembered by her three loving children, Glenda (Greg) Dolezalek, Bob Wilhelmi (Holly Brockway), Jacqui Wilhelmi-Carpenter (R.J.); loving grandchildren, Nicole Fasano (Mike), Rob Wilhelmi (Kellie Folz), Natalie Wilson (Todd), Laura Knight (Dave), Bryan Wilhelmi (Lindsey), Nick Carpenter ("E"), Connor Carpenter (Brooke); loving great grandchildren, Aiden and Bella Fasano, Alivia Knight, Sawyer Wilhelmi and Lexi Wilson. Jeanette is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Michelle Robare; many special nieces and nephews; and beloved brother, Melvin Dittmar and brother-in-law, Harold Gallagher. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Burt; great grandchild, Abby Herbert; parents; brother, Eldon and sister, Ilene.
