Johnnie served his country in the United States Army. He loved fishing and going up north, but above all else, he loved his grandchildren dearly and always looked forward to spending time with them. He was undeniably known for his sense of humor, and always making those around him laugh. You could count on hearing “Glad you got to see me” after spending time with him.
Johnnie is survived by his wife, Faith; children, Jennifer (Jef) Farmer, Jason Farmer, and Keith (Valentina) Fish; grandchildren, Audrie Hammack, Peyton Fish, Aarianna Fish, and Mila Fish; siblings, Ruby (John) Holderbaum, Tins (J.R.) Goss, Charles (Sandy) Farmer and Jack (Nancy) Farmer; brother in law, Stan Bell. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Sharon Farmer, Kay (Denny) Dunn, Bill Farmer, Bruce Farmer, Carl David Farmer, and Faye Bell.
A celebration of life for Rick will take place Sunday, August 27, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Roscoe VFW, 11385 2nd Street, Roscoe, IL 61073.
