Joseph Bruscia

Joseph Bruscia, 83, of Rockford, Illinois passed away on March 21, 2025. Joseph was born on September 2, 1941 in Roccamena, Sicily. On September 2, 1967 Joe married the love of his life, Caterina Loria at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Rockford, Illinois. He was a beloved owner of several restaurants in Illinois and Wisconsin, including Anna’s Pizza, a local restaurant which he passed down to his daughters. Joe was dedicated to creating delicious meals and providing a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who walked through his door. He was deeply loved by his family, friends, and customers. Joseph's legacy will live on in the many lives he touched through both his restaurant and his kindness and generosity.

Joe is survived by his wife, Caterina Bruscia; daughters, Maria (Jason Wigton) Bruscia and Anna (Tony) Chiarelli; grandchildren, Mia and Massimo Chiarelli; siblings, Francesca Bruscia and Calogero (Eleonora) Bruscia; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Domenico and Maria Bruscia; brother, Bartolomeo Bruscia.

Private Services for Joe will be held at Sunset Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens.
