Keith M. Tomlin

Keith was born on August 4, 1929 in Illinois City, IL the son of Joseph Omer and Arvilla Mable Frye Tomlin. He married Elizabeth A. Whalen on March 10, 1951in Davenport, IA and she preceded him in death. Keith graduated from Reynolds High School in Reynolds, IL and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a Quality Control Supervisor for Sundstrand Aviation for 26 years. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Belvidere Moose Lodge.

Keith is survived by his children: Christine Duncan, Kathleen Martin, David Tomlin, Vincent Tomlin, Mark Tomlin (Isabelle), Patrick Tomlin (Nancy), Beth Tomlin and Steven Tomlin; Brothers Duane, Larry and Dean; Sister Lila Keller; grandchildren Shaun Floyd (Jenna), Jamie Martin, Joch Martin, Amber Olson and Dan Tomlin; one great-grandson Devan Olson.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents and wife Elizabeth.

A service to celebrate Keith’s life will be 11:00 a.m. Friday June 13, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park. Visitation for Keith will be Thursday June 12, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
