With stories like yours I feel like there are no words to offer. I'd, however, like to try as you, Brenda, said they do help and mean soemthing to you. From the bottom of my heart: Your love as a devoted couple that obviously cherished one another very deeply  - even from the past and distance - inspires me and will continue to do so. 
I dearly hope that one day you will all be able to feel much more grateful for the times spent together and the memories made, than the pain and grief this tremendous lost has caused you all. Try to remember Kim lives on in all of you through his part in shaping you into the people you are and sharing your way thus far. He will always be with you - even if you cannot see him, you will feel him. 
I am glad you will have your faith to carry you until you meet again.

I never met Kim in person, but through his wife, Bren, I felt like I knew him. Through her, I know he was a wonderful man, husband, father, and grandpa. I know Bren and her family will miss him terribly, but they have those great memories of him to keep them going. God bless all of you, Bren!

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Kim.  Although I didn't know him, I have heard enough to know that he was an amazing man.  My heart hurts for you.  It never seems that we have enough time with those we love, but I am grateful for the time you were blessed with.  From experience, I can tell you that you will get through this.  It will be different now, but you will be okay.    God brings us through our trials 100% of the time.  Kim will always be alive through your memories.  Share them.  Laugh about the great times.  This is a great tribute to him. You remain in my prayers.  I ask Him to be your strength and bless you with the comfort and peace that ONLY He can provide.  Much love to you.

I didn't get to meet Kim In person but thru facebook I Knew his wonderful loving wife Brenda and she let us all know what a wonderful loving husband and father he was. God Bless the Haws family and I pray God gives you all strength thru all the tough times ahead.

I never had the privilege of meeting Kim but I know he was a special person through Brenda.  As crazy as it sounds, I got to know him through the many Facebook status' we shared. We almost had an Oregon trip planned once upon a time so Brenda could visit the Sisters, Oregon International Quilting show.  LOL  I know his family and his wife loved him and he will be missed. I pray your memories will sustain you always and I know that the love you shared will be cherished forever.  Brenda, you and your family are in our prayers and heart.

I had never met Kim Haws in person but I felt I knew him through his lovely wife, Brenda.I met Brenda on Facebook through quilting. Kim was a great friend he was a great husband to the love of his life Brenda. He always made everyone laugh with the jokes that he loved to play. He was the type of friend that was there for you no matter what you could count on Kim. He was great father and husband anyone who knew him could see that. I always made sure he ate well and I would always cook for him when he was sick I would take him some soup. I believe that if it wasn't for him my husband would not be here today. When my husband was having a heart attack he convinced my husband to go to the hospital. I am forever thankful for that. I loved him as a brother and will forever miss him.

I met Kim only once at Chars B-day party. The Weight Watcher girls and husband were standing together to get our pictures taken when Kim grabbed Brenda back side with both hands. lol all I remember was the scream and Brenda saying KIM stop that! Kim got the whole group of us laughing so hard. He was such a ham. :)

Our family's deepest condolences go to Brenda and the entire Haws family. While we do not know you well, the death of a neighbor, especially a father and husband who will be so missed, hits close to our home. We make ourselves available to help in any way.

I'll never forget Kim, nor will I forget Brenda and Kim's marriage as it had such an impact on my life. I looked up to Kim as the type of man a good husband should be. And with the exception of not letting Brenda have a subscription to the Rockford Register Star, he was the perfect husband. He took care of Brenda and the girls, was a great father and an appreciative grandpa. He did the things that men used to do, he took care of his family and provided for Brenda to stay home and care for the home and children. Theirs was a marriage that should be held up as an example to all of us. He was a great and honorable man and he will be deeply missed.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Haws family. I knew only Kim in the Haws family. I am a banker and have dealt with Kim for over 25 years. He was one of the most loved F&I guys in the business. He and I had a work related friendship that I cherished for many years. I know many bankers that feel the same way. He will be missed in our industry. It was always nice to have Kim call and just talk about everyday stuff not related to business. Some days he would call the Bank or Credit Union to get a deal approved and after about twenty minutes of just chatting, he would say, I'm going to have to call you back when I remember who I called you about! Then we would both laugh. Kim always went to bat for his customers. Bankers always exhausted all avenues to get one of Kims deals done, because if you denied the application, Kim would call you every time to let you know just why you made the wrong call! I will miss you Kim!!!

So sorry for your terrible loss! So hard sometimes to understand it all! May God comfort you!

He was always so calm, and never had anything bad to say about anyone..I called him Big Papi, just because he would blush so hard.. He will be missed by all of us.. R.I.P. I did not know Kim but have become friends with his wife Brenda.  Brenda is a loving, kind & giving woman that I'm glad to call my friend.  So, in knowing Brenda and what a fantastic person she is, makes me know that Kim had to be a great man because if he wasn't, there's no way that I could ever imagine my friend Brenda being married to anyone who wasn't. Brenda I am so sorry for you loss! I was so shocked to hear this! Things had been looking up and apparently God needed this particular angel to be called home. I didn't know Kim very well but from what I knew of him he was a great guy. He was always friendly with me and I even made him laugh at Char's 80th birthday party.  That was a fun night.  I remember the day at Van Matre when I visited.  He was so happy to see me and still had an uplifting spirit.  He will be missed by many.  I know he loved you because I could see it in his eyes that day.  Remember all the good times you had with Kim and the boys.  They will get you through all of this.  Love You.

I was a freshman and a little guy back then not sayin I got much bigger but I took a lot of flack from some people. Once in the bathroom an upper classman was jiving me sayin he was gonna cut off my long hair...bout that time Kim came in and heard what he said...he came to my rescue and stuck up for me like few did. I remember vividly he told the person.." wanna cut somebodys hair just try to cut mine!" I'll never forget that and he didn't realize that it really meant a lot to me!! Thanks Kim just for stickin up for the little guy!! You'll be greatly missed!!
