Kimberly Ann Peyton passed away peacefully, going into the arms of her loving Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, September 21, 2021 at UW Hospital, Madison, WI after a short, but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Rockford, IL, on January 26, 1964, to David and Karen Peyton. A proud West High School graduate, she also graduated with an Associate’s Degree at Rock Valley College, Rockford. She developed a “New construction cleaning business” which she ran successfully for several years before her illness.
Kim had a loving kindness for everyone, her beautiful blond hair and blue eyes shone out as she always had a hug for everyone. She was a super fan of The Bears and the Cubs and attended many of the games with her many friends. Kim was the life of the party and planned most of the parties! Even at death’s door, Kim always had a thank you and “bless you” for every nurse and doctor who cared for her so diligently at UW Hospital in Madison.
She is survived by her life-long partner: Jeffrey Opengo; her parents: David and Karen Peyton; her sister: Lesli Peyton; nephews: Richard Opengo and Dominic Opengo; her special furry children: SiSi Robinson, Taj, Bella and Little Mae; her Aunt Judy Foster and Aunt Ruth Anderson; several cousins and second cousins.
Kim is welcomed into heaven by all four grandparents, several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials and donations may be made to the family.
Visitation for Kim will be Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N.
