Laura A. Leavitt, 65, of Machesney Park, IL passed away on October 12, 2022. She was born on October 13, 1956 in Eugene, OR to Jim and Eloise (Wilson) Jensen. Laura retired from Southwest Airlines after working as an Operations Specialist for 18 years. She loved to travel and you could usually find her having fun at a casino. Laura had a knack for making people laugh and enjoyed playing fetch with her cat, Pistol. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her grandkids. Laura will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Laura is survived by her children, Tracey (Aaron) Mueller and Traviss (Yukiko) Leavitt; her grandchildren, Ryuki and Ayana Leavitt; her sister, Lynn (Kim Jeffers) Jensen; and her nephew, Justin Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her parents.
No services will be held at this time. Cremation rites have been accorded.
