Linda Susan Gabel, 64, of Rockford, passed suddenly in her home on Friday, March 23, 2018. Born May 19, 1953 in Rockford, IL. Daughter of Charles and Bonnie (Forschen) Neblock. United in marriage to Jack Gabel on November 6, 1987 in Reno, NV. Employed as an accountant at Rockford Clutch for many years. In her younger years she did some modeling, she loved to cook and was a skilled seamstress that even won her an award for her creativity. Together with Jack she traveled extensively including cruises. She had a great love for puppies.
Survived by her husband of 30 years, Jack; mother, Bonnie Neblock; step-children, Duke (Francis) Gabel Jr, Stacy Carlson; step-grandchildren, Colby Gabel, Adrianna Gabel, Syleena Gabel, Makenzie Gabel, Madison Carlson, Hunter Harris, Riley Carlson; sister, Donna (Dennis) Peck; in-laws, Wayne and Betty Gabel; her sweet dog, Stella. Predeceased by her dad, Charles Neblock; step-dad, John Gotz; dogs, Maggie and Steffie; cat, Slick.
