

predeceased by her Father Fred Houston, Mother Emma Houston, and brothers Clarence
Miller, Ernest Miller II, and Walter Miller.
She was born to Fred and Emma Houston on April 15th, 1962. She met and fell in love with
her husband Michael Rideout while attending high school and could not be separated. They
remained married for 41 years.
Linda loved spending time with her kids, grandchildren and being a good wife. She was a
hard worker, and her family was the center of her life.
Linda is survived by her loving husband Michael Rideout, daughter Shameka Latrece
Rideout, son Michael Rayshawn Rideout Jr. and his fiancé Jessica Larson, grandchildren
Antonio Amare Evans, Michael “Mikey” Jayshawn Rideout III, Miles “Bubba” Rideout and
Mia Rideout, sister Emma Foots, brother Fred Houston Jr. and surrogate sisters Genese
Pride (1st cousin) and Lisa Miller Spivey (niece), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and
cousins with which she loved dearly.
Linda spent her professional career in the medical world. She was an accomplished CNA
and then went on to be Medication Aide Technician. She loved caring for people and her
smile and laugh were contagious. Bright and pretty. She carried a type of elegance that was
inherited from her mother. She carried herself with style and class even in the most
difficult situations. She had enormous pride in ethical and moral values that she passed on
to all of those who knew her.
Memorial Services are scheduled for February 18th from 10 am to 12 pm and Visitation at 9
am at Sunset Memorial Gardens 8800 N. Alpine Rd. Machesney Park, IL 61115.
