Marie M Laman

She was born on April 16, 1920 in Schapville, Illinois to George and Anna (Dotzel) Winter.

Marie was a devoted housewife who loved and cared for her children and grandchildren and always made each one of them feel special and cherished. She loved music and dancing and enjoyed working outside. She was known to make the “best” chocolate chip cookies around.

Marie is survived by her children, Gary Laman, Dale (Sharon) Laman, Donna (Tom) Kopinski and Diane (Scott) Hawkins as well as two sisters, Ardale and Eileen. Marie is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great- grandchildren and 3 great- great -grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Robert and Verle and a granddaughter, Rhonda (Bauscher) Kluck.

The family would like to thank the staff at Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center for the loving care and kindness they extended to Marie these last few years.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park. Pastor David Mumm will be officiating. Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm just prior to the service. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
