derek, and lesly i am very sorry for your loss, growing up 2 houses away he kinda felt like family to me and my brothers, i ride by the old house every once in awhile and remember the good times,  R.I.P MEARLE, def miss him.

i remember when we used to go swimming at the house since he lived right down the street from us, he was always nice and freindly to the neighbor kids and we enjoyed going over there all the time.  my thoughts and prayers are with the family  god bless

My memories of Mearle take me way back to the early Top Hat restaurants and his marriage to my cousin Wilma. Much of the best parts of my boyhood were spent working at the Top Hat and knowing so many wonderful people who also worked there over the years.
