Nancy Sue Wythe

Nancy S. Wythe, 85, of Loves Park, IL, was reunited with the love of her life, Sunday, July 20, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 4, 1940 in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Harvey and Florence (Laurent) Koltz. Nancy married her sweetheart, Charles “Chuck” Wythe, on November 26, 1960 in Marengo, Illinois. She was homemaker who adored her family. Nancy was a member of Belvidere Church of Christ for many years. Nancy and Chuck started Woodchuck Woodworks in 1987, where they both created beautiful pieces of art. In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed bird watching and feeding the squirrels.

Nancy is loved and missed by her children, Wendy (Terry) Scholl, Greg (Jamie) Wythe and Steve (Macey) Wythe; grandchildren, Kencie (Braden) Hovell, Grayson (Samantha) Scholl, Baylee Wythe and Brooke Wythe; great-grandchildren, Brynnlee Mae Scholl and Emerie Rae Scholl; brother Jim Koltz, several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and loving husband Chuck who passed on April 10, 2025.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115 with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
