Pauline Ward, 79 of Loves Park was taken home to be with the love of her life, Max, in heaven. Born April 16, 1934 in Paragould, AR, daughter of Hughey and Jessie (Holifield) Higgins. She married Max R. Ward on July 18, 1950 in Walnut Ridge, AR.
A loving, caring, Christian wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother, she worked for National Detroit where she retired after 27 years of employment.
She loved her Lord, her church, and was dedicated to her family and God.
Survivors include daughters, Linda Ward, Pam (George) Jameson, and Carol (Riley) Thurber; sons, Tom (Deanna), and Paul (Cindy) Ward; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and many more relatives and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents, husband, Max; son, Kenny; sisters, Tomazine, Helen, Miriam, Vickie, and Loveta; brothers, Bill and Larry.
Funeral service, 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 29, at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park with Pastors Joe Chastain and Gary Fuhrer officiating.
