ROBERT A. (BOB) FENICLE, 89 LOVING HUSBAND, FATHER AND GRANDPA;ROCKFORD – Robert A. Fenicle, 89 of Rockford went to serve his Lord Monday September 12, 2011. Passed away peacefully at home from congestive heart failure.Born February 3, 1922 in Waterloo, Ia. Moved to Rockford as an infant .Son of John and Elsa May (Collier) Fenicle.Married Almeda (Pete) Pagano on October 10, 1947 in Springfield, Il. Proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII mostly in the S. Pacific. Earning Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Ribbon, 5 Oversea service bars & stripes along with Good Conduct medal. Retired in 1984? From Sundstrand Hydraulics. Member of VFW and Eagles Club. Robert enjoyed his children & grandchildren, fishing, hard work and helping others. Robert had a gift of making things work with a piece of wire & tape.Survived by wife of 64 yrs Almeda (Pete); Daughter, Carolynn (Jerry) Stromquist of Branson, MO. Ruth (Donald) Bunjes of Rockford.
