His wife Patricia A (Hazel) Buchert, his brother Randy Buchert in Rockford Illinois and his sister Catherine (Dave) Gerberick in Neenah Wisconsin survive him.
Roger is also survived by his niece Jerusha Durrani and his nephew Shahbaz (Sarah) Durrani and one great nephew John Henry.
Roger was born in Chicago, Illinois. He lived in Morton Grove, Illinois, Palatine, Illinois and Rockford, Illinois.
He was a graduate of J. Sterling Morton High School East in Cicero, Illinois. Roger attended Morton College in Cicero, Illinois and Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
Roger joined the United States Navy 1969 and was a proud member of the Navy for four years.
Roger is predeceased by his father and mother Robert and Louise (Ecker) Buchert and his brother Thomas Buchert.
At Roger's request there will be no funeral.
