

Roger O. Potter Sr., 99, formerly of Belvidere, passed away on Saturday January 16th, 2016, in Pocahontas, AR. Born November 23rd, 1916 in Floyd, IA. Son of Ralph and Evangeline (Dewey) Potter. Veteran of the U.S. Army having served in WWII. Married Alice Morris on December 27, 1947 in Belvidere. She predeceased him on April 5th, 1999. Along with being a dairy farmer, Roger enjoyed woodworking, fishing and spending time with his family.
Survivors include children, Gary, Georga (Dana) Clinton, Barbara Grimsby, Roger (Peggy), Kenneth (Sharon D-Agostin), Daniel (Betty), Larry (Karen); grandchildren, David (Trish) Potter, Douglas (Sheryl) Potter, Todd (Jenny) Potter, Patrick (Melanie) Clinton, Alexandra (Steve) Clinton-Zajda, Michelle (Eric) VanAken, Crystal (Ron) Beilfuss, Nicole (Stuart) Roy, Jennifer (Andy) Hassler, Jill (Steve) Pierce, Lisa (Mike) Cruickshank, Shane (Erika) Potter, Angela (Chad) Encheff, Carrie (Jason) Lindstrand, Elizabeth (Brian) Sandrock, Joshua Potter; several great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Ream, step-brother, Gerald Zalewski; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by parents; wife; brothers, Kenneth and Fay; step-brother, Virgil Zalewski; daughter-in-law, Linda M. Potter; son-in-law, Michael Grimsby.
Funeral Service 11 a.m. Wednesday January 27th, 2016 at Belvidere Church of Christ, 1771 5th Ave, Belvidere, IL.
