Suzie T. Nguyen

Suzie T. Nguyen, 77, of Machesney Park, Illinois, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in the evening hours of Friday, April 25, 2025. Suzie was born in Vietnam on October 27, 1947, to Nguyễn văn Thạnh and Nguyễn Thị Quý. She was an arc welder for over 30 years with Atwood Mobile Products prior to retirement. She lived a fruitful life, and loved her family. She also had a great sense of community with helping others by hosting and sponsoring throughout the years. Suzie was a jack of all trades, especially when it came to gardening. Her green thumb was impressive, and admired by many. 

She is survived by her daughter, Mai (Bruce) Nguyen; former son-in-law, Marc Nguyen; grandchildren, Amanda (Daniel Kepley I) Nguyen, Jerry Nguyen, Johnathan (Rebecka) Nguyen, and Mindy (Matt) Nguyen; great-grandchildren, Timothy Nguyen, Krystalyna Nguyen, Dustin Dussault Jr., Cynthia Kepley, Wyatt Kepley, and Aubrey Nguyen; many siblings, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as 4 siblings; great-grandson, Daniel Kepley II.

Suzie’s family will accept visitors beginning at 7:00 AM on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Sunset Funeral Home, until the time of her burial at 3:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Per Suzie’s request, NO donations of monetary value, or gifts such as flowers, will be accepted.
