Wiilard C Frank,94, of Rockford passed away at Alpine Fireside Nursing Home on Monday, April 11, 2011. Willard was born in Jonesdale, WI on August, 19 1916. He was the son of Francis and Lottie. He married Ethel Germaine in Bryan, OH in August of 1941, Willard then served in the Army from 1941-1945 in C.B.I. in WWII. Willard was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corp., a Boy Scout leader for Explorer Troop 2, and enjoyed studying history. Willard is survived by son; Leroy (Laurie) Frank, grandchildren; Nick (Christine) Korneski, Kurt Korneski, Teil Korneski, Mariel Korneski, Bethany (Patrick) Mackey, Brian (Cheryl) Frank, Erick Frank, and several great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, wife; Ethel, 4 brothers, 3 sisters, daughter; Janet Elaine Korneski, and son; Alan Wesley Frank. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 15, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Rd. Machesney Park. With a visitation one hour prior to the service.
