William Shelby Hall

at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon, IL.

Bill was born on February 12, 1921 in Warbranch, KY,

the son of William Lloyd and Hilda Linnea Forberg Hall.

He married Marjorie L. Halladay and she preceded him in death.

Then he married Doris Gerke and she preceded him in death.

Bill was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and

worked as a Draftsman and Engineer for 44 years at

Greenlee Brothers in Rockford. Bill was a member of the

Air Squadron with Tebala Shriners, member of E.F.W. Ellis Masonic Lodge,

former member of Bel Mar Country Club, Rockford Fluid Power Society,

and the NRA. He was an avid fisherman, golfer, and marksman.

Bill is survived by his children: Alan S. Hall (Carol) and Susanne Louise Edgren (Gary);

siblings: Lloyd, Babe Mae, Virginia, and Carl “George”; six grandchildren,

11 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild on the way.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wives, one sister Ruth, and one brother Burleigh.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon, IL.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday December 14, 2012

at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Scandinavian Cemetery in Rockford.
