William "Bill" R. Spears Jr., age 69, of Pecatonica, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. Bill was born on April 18, 1953 in Trenton, Missouri to Rosalie and William R. Spears Sr. In 1961 Bill graduated from Rock Falls High School. He went on to continue his education at Sauk Valley Community College before receiving his Bachelor's Degree in engineering. Bill retired from Sunstrand in 2015 after working there for over 30 years. Bill enjoyed music, especially playing and building guitars. He and his wife, Kim loved camping and the outdoors.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Rosalie Spears; four grandchildren; sister, Alice (Gene) Dalton. He was preceded in death by his wife Kimberly Spears; parents, Rosalie and William Spears Sr.; siblings, Judith Spears and Orville Spears.
Services will be private with Sunset and Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Bill's name to Rock Church (6732 Harrison Ave, Rockford, IL).
