Arttis L. Muncus, 90, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends on Monday, April 22, 2019 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono.
Arttis was born in Albertville, AL to the late Herman and Emma Sanders Muncus. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mavis McCoy Muncus and son, Ronald Pitts. Arttis served in the United States Navy during World War II and was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from Shaw Construction as a welder.
He is survived by his sons; Anthony (Kathy) Pitts and Donald (Beverly) Askew, ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
