
LIZELLA – Bess Warren Bell Mincey, 91, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012. Private graveside services will be held on Monday in Riverside Cemetery (North Gate). Rev. Jim Dant will officiate. The family will greet friends from 5 until 7 PM Monday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Toys for Tots, c/o Phil McGoldrick, Snow’s Memorial Chapel, 746 Cherry Street, Macon 31201.
Mrs. Mincey was born in Macon, the daughter of the late William Arthur Bell and Bess Brooks Warren Bell. She was retired from the Bibb County School System, having taught English and Latin. Mrs. Mincey was the widow of David L. Mincey, Sr. and was preceded in death by her daughter, Eugenia Warren Mincey and sister, Mary Frances Bell Ford.
Mrs. Mincey is survived by her son, David L. Mincey, Jr. (Denise) of Lizella; grandchildren, Susan Marie McCord (Rob), David L. Mincey, III (Tracie) and Sarah Elizabeth Stembridge (Richard); great-grandchildren, Miller Bess McCord, Colyar Carolyn McCord, Robert Augustus McCord, V, Lila Lee McCord, Anna Pettit Mincey, Eleanor Bell Mincey, David Lafayette Mincey, IV, William Newton Mincey, Mincey Catherine Stembridge, John Richardson Stembridge and Christopher Phillip Stembridge; brother, William Arthur Bell, Jr.; sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Mincey Bentley.
