Edna Sumner Ford, 100, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Hickory Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton. Rev. Paul Dziadul will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Methodist Home for Children & Youth, 304 Pierce Avenue, Macon 31204.
Mrs. Ford was born in Tift County, Georgia the daughter of the late Minnie Lee Cravey Sumner and Walter L. Sumner. She was retired from R.S. Thorpe & Son, a founder of Ford Equipment Company in Macon, and was of the Baptist Faith. She was the widower of Roy Ford.
Mrs. Ford is survived by her nieces & nephews, Thomas and Ann Pearman, Grady and Vivian Pearman, and Don and Gloria Sinclair; several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
