Emma E. Joiner

Emma E. Joiner, 90, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Sam Waldron officiating. The family will meet friends at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono from 12 Noon to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Mrs. Joiner, wife of the late Ralph Waldo Joiner, was born in Jackson, Mississippi the daughter of the late William Stephen and Emma Hill Manderson. She was retired from the State of Georgia Juvenile Division Center and was a member of Porterfield Baptist Church. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include those she loved most, her daughter, Patsy Joiner; her son, Stephen Joiner (Lizabeth); grandchildren, Amanda Thornton (Josh), Michael Cravey (Brooke), Stephen Joiner (Sarah) and Stephanie Maddox (Trey); eight great grandchildren; brother, Herman Manderson (Gail); sister, Lacey Johnson (David) and several nieces and nephews.
