
MACON – Erla Rae Davidson, 87, died Tuesday, December 07, 2010 in a local hospital. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Forest Hills United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Towson officiating. Burial will be private in Riverside Cemetery. The family will meet friends following the service at the residence of William Baldwin Davidson, Jr., No. 7, River Trace, Macon. They suggest that those who wish make memorial contributions to Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 1217 Forest Hill Road, Macon, GA 31210 or to the Methodist Home for Children and Youth, 304 Pierce Avenue, Macon, GA 31204.
Mrs. Davidson, wife of the late William Baldwin Davidson, was born in Ohio the daughter of the late Earl Pringle Rinker and Lizzie Seabold Rinker. She was a secretary retired from the Bibb County Board of Education and was a member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church. Mrs. Davidson was an original member of the Central Georgia Quilt Guild, was a past secretary of the Federated Garden Clubs of Macon and was an active volunteer in her community.
Survivors include her daughters, Diana B. Davidson of Hiawassee, GA and Jody Davidson Pierce (Chester) of Macon; her son, William Baldwin Davidson, Jr. (Shirley) of Macon; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
