

MACON – Frances Morgan Kendall, 90, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 in a local hospital. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday at Park Memorial United Methodist Church with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Main Gate. The Rev. Cecil Hazen will officiate. The family will meet friends from 1 p.m., to service time on Saturday at the church. They suggest that memorial contributions be made to Park Memorial United Methodist Church, 5290 Arkwright Road, Macon, GA 31210 or to the Salvation Army, 1955 Broadway, Macon, GA 31206.
Mrs. Kendall, wife of the late Pete Kendall, was born in Savannah, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Jeff Reagan Morgan and Sarah Willis Morgan. She lived in Macon most of her life and graduated from Winship Elementary, A. L. Miller High School and Georgia-Alabama Business College. Mrs. Kendall was a bookkeeper at Davison’s and C & S Bank and also helped with the family business, Pete Kendall’s Service Station and Garage. For eighty-eight years, she was a member of Cherokee Heights United Methodist Church where she was active in the life of her church as a past Historian, serving as president of the Emma Durham Sunday School Class and as U.M.W. Missionary leader for twenty years. Mrs. Kendall was devoted to the mission of the Methodist Home for Children and Youth and was currently a member of Park Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Brady Bunch and the Young at Heart senior adult groups of the Methodist Church, The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary, and was an avid Georgia Football fan.
Survivors include her son Ronald “Pete” (Sandy) Kendall of Macon; her granddaughter, Kathy Kendall (Adam) Tolbert; her great granddaughter, Mabry Elizabeth Tolbert of Macon; several nieces and nephews, Randy and Billy Kendall and Becky Kendall Gordon, all of Columbus and Nova Sue Bruss of Macon.
