

MACON – Gary Jay Black, 53, passed away Tuesday night in a local hospital. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with the Rev. Eric Byrd officiating. Burial will be private. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 1311 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains, NY 10605.
Mr. Black, a native of Aberdeen, MD, was preceded in death by his father, Donald Howard Black. He attended Columbus College where he was a member of Delta Chi Fraternity and Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity. Mr. Black had lived in Macon since 1985.
Survivors include his wife, Eloise Lloyd Black of Macon; his daughter, Lori (Kevin) McKinnon of Forsyth; his mother, Lorraine Black of Columbus; his sister and brother, Donna (John) Woods of Knoxville, TN and Loren (Diana) Black of Boynton Beach, FL; two grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Mary Lloyd of Columbus; several nieces and nephews and his best friend, Darrell Armstrong.
