Joseph Michael Union, DPM, died Sunday morning September 7, 2025. A Rosary will be said on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 5:00 PM with a reception to follow at 5:30 PM at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, 1419 Bass Rd. Macon, Ga 31210. A Requiem Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 12, 2025 in St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father John Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery (North Gate). Joe was born in Macon, the son of the late Thomas Sard and Pheado Smaha Union. He got his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and his podiatric medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia. Joe was the retired former owner of Central GA Foot and Ankle Center for 46 years. He Served on the staff at Coliseum Hospital. He was a 3rd generation lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a 4th degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 57 years, Gail Union; children, Joseph Michael Union Jr. (Joyce DeLoach) and Melanie A. Union (Brian Losonsky); grandchildren, Joseph Michael Union III, John Douglas Union, Anastasia Katarina Losonsky; sisters, Barbara Smith and Gloria Smith (Norman).
