Joyce Reddick Schafer, age 90, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road. Rev. Curtis White will officiate. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Wesleyan College, Joyce R. Schafer Scholarship Fund, 4760 Forsyth Road, Macon, GA 31210 or St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 501 Bass Road, Macon, GA 31210.
Joyce was born in Bainbridge, Georgia the daughter of the late Nita Ethelyn Knighton Reddick and Alton Reuben Reddick and was the widow of Lawrence Schafer. She was retired as a financial advisor from Smith, Brown, and Groover and was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Joyce held her Phd from Georgia College and State University.
Joyce is survived by her son, Arthur Reuben Schafer, Sr.; grandson, Arthur "AJ" Reuben Schafer, Jr.
Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road, has charge of arrangements.
