Born in Chipley, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Earl Gilbert and Gladys Watson Gilbert. She grew up in Monticello, Georgia, where she graduated from Monticello high school. Shortly after, she met and married the love of her life, Royce. They later moved to Macon with their daughter, Susan. After many years, Linda retired from Georgia Farm Bureau as Senior Underwriter Supervisor. She was a member of the Ingleside Baptist Church, where she attended the Fish Bible study class. She was an avid Georgia Bulldog and Atlanta Braves fan, loved western movies, and enjoyed showing her sheltie show dogs with her husband, Royce.
Linda had a passion for cooking and decorating. She was always trying new recipes for her loved ones. Many would ask who her decorator was and she loved saying me! Her family was her greatest joy, including the many fur babies she and her late husband shared over the 51 years of marriage. Linda loved to meet new people and learn about them, and would go out of her way to meet a dog. She loved to enjoy life, shop, and take trips, especially with her daughter and granddaughter to Saint Simons Island. Linda was a woman of strong faith and she always tried to see good in others.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Roper Davidson (Victor), Granddaughter, Hunter Leigh Davidson, and her fur baby, Skyler. Siblings, Edna Tatum, Jackie Paul Gilbert, and Vicky Dover (Ben), and several nephews.
Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road, has charge of arrangements.
