

Margaret J. Tucker, 95, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Pine Pointe Hospice. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Creede Hinshaw officiating. Memorial gifts may be made to Mulberry Street United Methodist Church, 719 Mulberry Street, Macon 31201.
Mrs. Tucker, wife of the late Monroe J. “Tommy” Tucker, was born in Byron the daughter of the late Charles M. and Eula Hardison Jordan. She lived in Macon most of her life and was co-owner and operator of Tucker’s Barbecue. Mrs. Tucker was a member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church where she was also a member of the Solomon Fellowship Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Elizabeth Claire Petersen.
Survivors include her son, Tommy (Cathy) Tucker; two grandchildren, Melissa (Punky) Petersen, Michelle (Bubba) Gallaher; five great grandchildren, Ansley Caroline Petersen, William Baxter Petersen, Bennett Campbell Petersen, Eliza Ray Gallaher, Landon Trey Gallaher and several nieces and nephews.
