

Macon, GA- Martha Marshall Deeb left this world on May 26, 2013 to join the Savior she worshipped and the husband she loved. Although she cherished her life on earth she anticipated with great excitement being welcomed into heaven and reuniting with her parents, six sisters and brother.
Visitation will be held at noon on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Forest Hills United Methodist Church with services following at 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Towson and Dr. Neal Wall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Welcome Center at Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 1217 Forest Hill Rd, Macon, GA 31210.
Martha, the daughter of a Baptist preacher, had a deep love for gospel music. She and her siblings frequently shared their incredible vocal talents by singing in her father’s churches.
She spent her adult life caring for the family she adored and supporting the numerous activities of her husband and four children. She was den mother for her boys’ scout troops, cheerleader for her girls’ softball teams and co-founder and treasurer of her husband’s Parkinson’s Support Group.
She was an ambitious, energetic lady who also set and achieved challenging goals for herself while both working and raising her family. She graduated from Macon State College as a President’s Scholar with a degree in business at age 54.
Martha worked in the Business Office at Mercer University and later retired from Union Furniture Company’s business office. She was a member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church, the Grace Sunday School Class, the Dorcas Circle and a former member of the Cedars Lebanese Club.
Martha was predeceased by four months by her soul mate Edward H. Deeb, Sr. She is survived by her children, Debbie Deeb, Patti Deeb Jones (Richard), Eddie Deeb all of Macon and Tony Deeb (Mary Ellen) of Williamson, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Megan Deeb of Dallas, Texas, Rick Smith, of Charleston, South Carolina, Christopher Deeb and Richie Jones of Macon, Stephenie Haldane of Lithia, Florida, Trey Deeb of Los Angeles, California, Chris Jones and Josh Bornstein of Atlanta, Georgia and Gabriel Deeb of Williamson, Georgia. She has four great grandchildren, Grayson and Brayden Haldane, Aiden Jones and C.J. Jones.
