Nina was born in Seneca, SC to the late Anne Hunter Senn and William Thornwell Senn, Sr. and preceded in death by a brother, William Thornwell Senn, Jr. She graduated from Queen’s College in 1950 and was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority. Nina married Harrell “Bony” Baskin at First Presbyterian Church in her hometown of Seneca, SC. She was a homemaker and did volunteer work at the American Red Cross and the Crippled Children’s Clinic for 25 years. Nina was an advisor for BOL High School Sorority for 3 years. She was an advisor for the youth group at Ingleside United Methodist Church for many years. After her last child left home, she went to work as a secretary at Bilco Manufacturing Corporation and worked alongside her husband and son for 20 years.
Nina will be remembered for always putting others first and never thinking of herself. She always had fried chicken, a casserole and baked goods ready to help others in their time of need. She was a “Mother” and “Mrs. B” to many, many young people while the children were growing up.
A special “Thank you” to Dr. Cheryl Jones and her staff at Georgia Cancer Specialists and the caregivers at Home Instead, and Heartland Hospice for their love, care and compassion during Nina’s illness.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 65 years, Harrell “Bony” Baskin Sr.; children, Hal (Sandra) Baskin, Jr., Nina (Frank) Fleming, Bill (Lisa) Baskin, Fran (Georgia) Baskin; grandchildren, Tim (Beth) Fleming, Chris (Katy) Fleming, Will Baskin and Hunter Baskin; and great-grandson, Hunter Fleming, brother-in-law; Dr. William H.
