LIZELLA – Noah E. “Ed” Smith, Sr., 72, died Sunday, December 19, 2010 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be private.
Mr. Smith was born in Ohio and a U. S. Army Special Forces Veteran who served four terms of duty in Vietnam and received fifty-two metals. He was a member of V.F.W. and N.R.A. Mr. Smith also managed Crawford County Country Estates.
Survivors include his wife, Sue C. Smith of Lizella; seven children, Tammy, Christine, Mary Katherine, Noah E. Smith, Jr., Susan (Glenn) Garnto of Knoxville, Gerald Hall of Atlanta and Howard Price of Macon; a brother and a sister; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
