Ona Ruth Mull

Ona Ruth Mull, 90, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer with Rev. Dr. James Braswell officiating. Burial is private. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Building Fund, 390 Pierce Ave., Macon GA 31204 or donor’s favorite charity.

Mrs. Mull was born in Manor, Texas to the late Ella Groppell and Paul Walter Sakewitz. She moved to Macon in 1956 where she joined the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in 1957. Mrs. Mull was active in many areas of the church, including the Young at Hearts. She worked for Macon Beauty Supply from 1965 until her retirement in 1988. Mrs. Mull was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton and her daughter, Patricia Ann.

She is survived by her son, Darryl C. (Pam), a grandson, John (all of Marietta), a granddaughter, Amanda of New York City, and a sister, Pauline Friemel of Cameron, Texas, a sister-in-law and two brothers-in-laws; and a number of nieces and nephews.
