Mr. Randall “Randy” L. Markins, 77, entered into rest Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at his residence after an extended illness. Funeral Services will be private. Mr. Markins was a native of Macon GA, a former resident of San Francisco CA, and returned to Macon six years ago. He was an honorably discharged veteran, having served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Markins had a passion for antiques and finding unique collectibles. His passion for antiques ultimately allowed him to own and operate three antique stores in San Francisco. When he returned to Macon, Mr. Markins continued to collect unique items and operated an antique booth at the Payne Mill Village Antique Mall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glynnis and Louise Markins; his wife, Sherry Webb Markins; two sisters, Joan M. Dyche and Jessie M. Holder Coley; one brother, Bobby Samuel Markins; a nephew, John Darrell Holder.
Mr. Markins was retired from AT&T of California as a manager.
Survivors include his nieces and nephews, Nancy Dyche Stokes (Al) of Lizella, GA, Elaine Markins Dawson of Gilford, NH, Steve Dyche of North Platt, NB, Eddie Holder (Lynn) of Griffin, GA and Donna Holder Anderson (Rusty) of North Augusta, SC; nine great-nieces and three great nephews; and numerous great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Encompass Hospice and Home Instead Caregiver’s for their extraordinary care during Mr. Markin’s illness.
