Randy James Brunner

Randy James Brunner, 63, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 20, 2023. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Ingleside Baptist Church with the Dr. David Peterson officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Cary, Georgia. The family will greet friends on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Bass Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vine Ingle Little League, P.O. Box 7837, Macon, GA 31209.

Randy was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Roland James and Elva Schomaker Brunner. He was a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Randy was employed as a Private Financial Advisor with Smith Brown and Groover. He was a devoted member of Ingleside Baptist Church, where he taught a Men’s Bible Study on Wednesday night. Randy was a member of the F-3 of Macon Christian Men’s Workout Club. He was a past president, board member, and coach at Vine Ingle Little League for decades. Randy enjoyed puzzles, games, gardening, reading, listening to the Beatles, reading about history, and he was a huge fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and coach.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Hobbs Brunner, children, Wesley Abney (Kim Bosecker), Meg (Brian) Woods, Emily Rose Brunner (Shane Veal), and Jay Brunner, sisters, Jo (Joe) Murphy and Jill (Jim) Cappa, nephew, Michael (Heather) Murphy and niece, Ellen (Brian) Armacost.
