Mrs. Aurelia "Rita" H. Bridgers, 79, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 o'clock, in Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono, on Monday, March 22, 2021, led by the Rev. Ronnie Campbell. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends Sunday evening, March 21, from 6 until 8 o'clock.
Mrs. Bridgers was born in Chester, Georgia, Dodge County, to the late Manning J. and Sudie Mullis Brady. She was a member of God's Church of Worship and Praise, in Macon. Rita was family centered, loving her children and grandchildren, always prideful in their accomplishments. She had a special touch with plants and flowers, enjoying making them thrive and grow. Rita loved her God, her church, and singing those praises.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a granddaughter, Carrie Churchwell. Rita was the last of her 12 siblings.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted and loving husband, Bill Bryant; daughters, Debra (Mike) Robinson; Jennie Churchwell; sons, Tony (Renee) Baker; Bruce (Emily) Baker; 14 grandchildren; over 20 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; a tremendous host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
